We at Ecole Globale believe that extracurricular activities form an integral part of the child’s over all development. To foster this, the school has designed exciting daily activities to complement the academic programme and provide endless opportunities to the girls, to pursue their areas of interest.
The school offers a gamut of activities such as dance, drama, public speaking, performing arts, drawing & sculpture, needlecraft, cooking and other soft skills through several clubs, societies and performing groups. Each student is encouraged to take up at least two activities in an academic term and pursue it over a sustained period of time in order to gain expertise of the skill. Girls are also provided opportunities to participate in intra mural and inter school events to instil a sense of competitiveness and achievement of their talents.
The school boasts of a well equipped aesthetically planned activity center which houses the art school, the dance school, the music school and the needlecraft center. A team of professional instructors imparts training to girls in fine arts.
Opportunities to perform and showcase their talents are a plenty. Guest artist are also invited to hold workshops and camps of training.
For better pastoral care the students at Ecole Globale are divided into four houses- Aer, Terra, Aqua and Ignis. Leadership opportunities that cultivate a sense of responsibility are given to those selected as Captains and Prefects of these houses. These prefects are appointed through a democratic system of voting, where the students of the school nominate and select their leaders.
The prefects are girls who have shown exemplary academic and extra curricular standards and are capable of leading their fellow students. Their personal conduct, art of dressing, smartness in uniform and sincerity in school events sets the benchmarks to be followed by everyone else in the school.
Prefects are also assigned responsibilities and duties to assist teachers on events and on daily tasks. They are also capable of taking charge of students in the absence of a teacher.
There are two main publications brought out by the school.
In order to keep our parents abreast with what is the latest in school, we send out a monthly newsletter called ‘ The Ecole Eco’. This contains a synopsis of school events and in-house activities, all reported by the students. This newsletter is managed by the student editorial, with a little help from the staff editorial team.
‘The Banyan’ is our annual magazine and is a compilation of the articles, poems, reports etc. in English, Hindi French, Spanish and Bangla. This is released every Founders day.
Other than these we also periodically publish special newsletters showcasing a special event like the Synergy camp held annually.
